Bucket Seat Bracket Locations

The following article should be used as a reference when installing bucket seat mount brackets. Our measurements were done as exact as possible but there are very few square edges to measure from when doing this job. We recommend using our diagrams as a guide, tack weld each bracket in place and then test fit your seats before final welding of the brackets. The photos below show the factory locations of the bucket seat mount brackets on a 1987 Monte Carlo SS. The large bracket toward the outside of the car (closest to the door) exists on all models, including bench seat cars. We used these brackets as a reference to measure from
L/H Bucket Seat BracketsUSE THE LARGE OUTER FLOOR MOUNT BRACKET AND THE FLOOR PAN BRACE AS A GUIDE:
a) 13-5/8" from the center of the seat track stud on the outer seat mount to the edge of the front bucket seat mount bracket
b) 3-7/8" from the outside edge of the front bucket seat mount bracket to the edge of the floor pan brace
c) 4" from the inside edge of the front bucket seat mount bracket to the edge of the floor pan brace
d) 1-1/4" from the rear bucket seat mount bracket to the floor pan brace
e) 11-7/8" from the center of the outer seat track stud on the outer seat mount to the edge of the rear bucket seat
